The EASTS holds international biennial conferences aimed at fostering excellent transportation research and practice. The interchange of knowledge in all aspects and mode of transportation that takes place at these conferences is valuable in upgrading and expanding the pool of experts who are expected to formulate and implement transportation development programs in the region.

The society already held 14 successful conferences; Manila (1995), Seoul (1997), Taipei (1999), Hanoi (2002), Fukuoka (2003), Bangkok (2005) , Dalian (2007), Surabaya (2009), Jeju (2011), Taipei (2013), Cebu (2015), Ho Chi Minh City (2017), Colombo (2019), Hiroshima (2021) and Shah Alam (2023). There have been a lot of reviewed and non-reviewed papers published in Asian Transport Studies (ATS)Journal of the EASTS and Proceedings of the EASTS. All abstract and paper submittals underwent a strict selection procedure by the International Scientific Committee (ISC).
