Extension of Non-Reviewed Paper Submission Deadline – EASTS Conference 2025

Dear IRG Leaders and Members,

We hope this message finds you well.

On behalf of the EASTS International Scientific Committee, we would like to inform you that the deadline for the submission of non-reviewed papers (abstract only) to the EASTS Conference 2025 has been extended to 30 April 2025.

While this extension is open to the general public, it is specifically intended to support IRG members in organizing special sessions — as required by the IRG funding conditions — at the 2025 EASTS Conference in Surakarta, Indonesia. The extension aims to accommodate authors who may require additional time to finalize their manuscripts and to encourage broader participation from within the IRG community.

In addition, if you are the leader of an active IRG and wish to organize a special session for your IRG at the conference, please contact us as soon as possible at easts_isc@chula.ac.th.

Final Deadline Extension for Reviewed Paper Submission for the 16th EASTS International Conference (Feb 28, 2025)

We are pleased to announce that, in response to numerous requests, the deadline for submitting reviewed papers for the 16th EASTS International Conference has been further extended to February 28, 2025.

This extension provides additional time to prepare and refine your submissions. Please note that this will be the final deadline, and no further extensions will be granted.

Invitation to Submit Papers for the 16th EASTS International Conference

Dear Colleagues,

The Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) invites you to participate in the 16th International Conference, to be held in Surakarta, Indonesia, from September 1 to 4, 2025. The theme for this year’s conference is “Harnessing Local Wisdom and Green Technology to Build a Sustainable Transport Sector in Eastern Asia.”

This is a unique opportunity to present your research, network with professionals, and contribute to meaningful discussions on the future of transportation in our region.

Key Details:

  • Location: Surakarta, Indonesia
  • Dates: September 1-4, 2025
  • Submission Deadlines (17:00 Bangkok Standard Time, UTC+07:00):
    • Reviewed Papers: Full papers due by January 15, 2025.
    • Non-Reviewed Papers: Abstracts due by March 19, 2025.

Accepted papers will be considered for publication in Asian Transport Studies (ATS), the Journal of the EASTS, or the Proceedings of the EASTS.

  1. Bring your PPT file for presentation. The computer is available in each room. The presenter needs to upload the PPT file to the local computer.10 minutes before the session begins, please upload your presentation file to the local computer.
  2. Presentation time:

For 90 minutes session

  •  For sessions with 3-4 papers, each presentation takes 15 min + 5 min Q&A
  •  For sessions with 5-6 papers, each presentation takes 10 min + 5 min Q&A

For 60 minutes session, each presentation takes 10 min + 5 min Q&A

For poster presentation:

Poster size: A1 size (594 mm horizontal X 841 mm vertical)
