KOTI and EASTS joint seminar on High Speed Rail

On 20 December, 2013.


Dear EASTS members,

KOTI (The Korea Transport Institute) and EASTS (Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies) had jointly held the seminar, gHSR (High Speed Rail) Impacts and Station Area Development Policiesh, on November 28, 2013, in Seoul, Korea.
This half-day event showed the latest information about HSR in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan and all participants discussed our future of policy and research needs including economic and non-economic impacts by HSR, legal and institutional comparison.

This seminar was along with EASTS SRP (Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies - Special Research Project), titled as gInternational Comparison on High-Speed Railway Station Area Development - Japan, Taiwan and Koreah. It was prepared from July 2013 and will be completed in 2014 summer.
EASTS appreciates that KOTI has provided research opportunity and fund through this project. It helps sustainable EASTS activities as well.
